2006-3 – (TALON x Sdlg.) Dor.dip.M. 35” 7” 3-way branching. BC=15. Standout
dark reddish purple Unusual Form Variable Crispate. Sepals usually quill
dramatically, but they may also quill and/or twirl beautifully, exposing white
edging. Petals may simply open flat, or they may also pinch. Named for my
good friend Ned Roberts, a great man and great hybridizer. Our visits,
daylily chats, & phone conversations are still greatly missed. If it
weren’t for Ned, so many would not have access to such great daylily genes nor
would we have the tremendous daylily knowledge he so willingly shared with
all of us. He exemplified and stressed truth in introduction material for all
hybridizers.
